Regional Training

Specialist medical training courses are increasingly taking place within regional networks involving multiple training institutions. This allows doctors in training to make optimal use of the knowledge and expertise available in the region. What does regional training mean for hospitals and university medical centres, and for the quality of specialist medical training programmes? How can continuity in training be guaranteed? Do trainers keep track of all trainees? The document also contains practical tips for organising specialist medical training programmes at a regional level.
