Training and Education Regions (OORs)
In order to train general practitioners and specialists, the umc’s work closely with general hospitals, educational institutions and healthcare institutions in the region. This collaboration takes place within Training and Education Regions (OORs).
Regional cooperation is necessary in order to train sufficient numbers of high-quality healthcare professionals for the future.
The main reasons for cooperation within the OORs:
- The cooperation offers a network of training and internship places with a varied patient mix.
- It promotes coherence between basic training and further training, between different types of further training, and between training and science.
- There are more opportunities for skills training in skills labs and simulation laboratories.
