Privacy statement

UMCNL, located at Oudlaan 4, is responsible for the processing of personal data as set out in this privacy statement.

Personal data

The UMCNL office processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself. Personal data is processed for various purposes. Below you will find an overview of the personal data we may process:

  • First and last name
  • Address details
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Employer
  • Position
  • Memberships of committees within UMCNL

Why do we process your data?

UMCNL processes your data exclusively in line with its role as a trade association. The purposes for which your data may be processed include:

  1. In the context of the performance of our agreement with you; or
  2. A legal obligation

With whom do we share your personal data?

UMCNL only shares your personal data with third parties if this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you, with your consent or to comply with a legal obligation. Your personal data will never be processed for commercial purposes.

Data retention period

UMCNL will not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We retain your first and last name, title, employer, email address and telephone number until your membership is terminated by your employer or until you yourself indicate that your personal data should be deleted. 

Viewing, modifying or deleting personal data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by UMCNL, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send your personal data (which we have at our disposal) in a computer file to you or another organisation specified by you. 
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to umcnl@umcnl.nl.

To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks at the latest.

Security of personal data

UMCNL takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification.

Cookies

Do you visit our website? Then we use cookies. UMCNL uses cookies to collect and analyse information about the use of the website. We use anonymised data to improve and adapt the website.

Complaints

Data subjects can submit a complaint to UMCNL and/or the relevant privacy regulator, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. The director of UMCNL is responsible for the management and processing of personal data.
